Musical YouthHere it is, finally! A web site dedicated to Musical Youth, the first one. Browsing the web, searching for “Musical Youth”, you’ll probably find biographies that are practically the same or articles about young people playing music. I started this website to give everybody access to the most detailed information on Musical Youth you can get. I might not have all information, so if you have anything to add, please let me know.

Most people will only know Musical Youth for their massive hit “Pass The Dutchie”, which was selling major numbers at the end of 1982 and in the beginning of 1983. But they had so much more hits around the world and they released two albums, which are among my favourites of all time. You might remember “Youth Of Today”, “Never Gonna Give You Up”, “007” or “Tell Me Why?”. So talking about ‘one hit wonders’ isn’t really true. They might not have lasted long, but they were very good musicians making great music, having at least 5 hits around the world.

Musical Youth is very much underrated, probably due to their age at the time of their peak plus the fact that their songs were quite ‘middle of the road’ reggae style. Still, if you listen closely to their music, you can hear that they are skilled musicians and you might even find out that their album tracks and singles B-sides are very much worth listening to.

So on this website I put a biography, a detailed discography and chart information as much as I can. I will try and keep you updated as much as I can about Musical Youth news and concerts.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask them and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I’m not saying I know it all and I’m not the one to get you in touch with the guys, but I’ll always try to give you the best answer that I can give.

Please look around, enjoy and sign our guest book.
